There were some kendamas around in my elementary school, so I tried it out when I was younger, then during the summer of 2015 I went into a shop that sold damas, I decided to buy one and immediately fell in love. I haven't stopped playing since that day.

Kendama was trending in Southern California in 2013/14 and by Spring 2014 it made it’s way to my middle school. I got my own kendama right before 2014 Summer break started, and that summer is when I got insanely hooked on just the playing aspect of kendama. I’ve never put it down since.
